Just basic. Met all of our needs. Just didn’t go above and beyond. Communicated promptly but felt short and blunt when responding. Very robotic. Asked for early check in and check out. Neither was available. Didn’t seem to want to try to accommodate our requests. *Full disclaimer: The host was clear multiple times of the early/late check in/check out process. We were not able to follow the “early” request. Basically just that, basic.
The location is perfect. If you’re headed to Charleston and want to go to the beach, Wild Dunes Resort is the way to go! The condo was nice and comfortable. Communication with Casago Charleston was excellent until there was an issue, to which the only response we received was ‘we’ll reach out when we have more information’. Evidently after 3 days (& repeating the same response every time I followed up) they never had more information which was very frustrating. And there was never any resolution or attempt at one. For the price we paid, the matter should have been resolved quickly or addressed directly to say ‘I’m sorry, we cannot provide the items’. The listing included a hair dryer and iron. There were neither, just an ironing board. We thoroughly checked every closet, drawer and cabinet as instructed. Not a big deal, just very frustrating when the response is essentially a repeated non-response for 3 days.
Our rental unit was spectacular. Just a few blocks walk to the beach, which was beautiful and never crowded. The lagoon behind our unit hosted herons and egrets every morning and we could view them from our balcony. The pool just behind the units across the street was a great option when the kids tired of the ocean waves. And we had a great time watching movies during the heat of the day on the huge TV in the comfy living room. All around fantastic.
