There's something for everyone across the 3,742 square feet of living space, including gorgeous views, high-end finishes, free WiFi, an extensive cable package (with HBO and Starz), a private boardwalk to the beach, and an outdoor shower to welcome you back. The kitchen offers expansive counter space, stainless steel appliances, views of the ocean, and multiple coffee makers - a traditional coffee maker and a Keurig - to get each morning off to the right start. We were disappointed to find the house filthy upon arrival, which is the primary reason for our lower rating. While we loved the location and size, the home appeared not to have been cleaned between guests (outside of remade beds). We found crumbs, chips, sand, and hair throughout the floors and carpets; stained bedding; and unclean bathrooms with hair and even blood in places. After we all arrived, it was late, we contacted the host the next morning. Although they responded quickly, the issue wasn't resolved until the following day, so we slept in dirty linens for two nights. The cleaning team was apologetic, but we had to remain at the house for three hours while they cleaned due to early arrival disrupting our plans. This was my mom's 80th birthday trip, making the first two days especially disappointing. We appreciated the discount, but only after repeated follow-up. Overall, the location was excellent, but for the price we expected a much cleaner home and a better response.
We enjoyed our stay at this beachfront property on Folly Beach. The standout feature is its excellent location, with direct beach access, beautiful ocean views, and easy access to the sand. There were a few minor issues with maintenance and communication, but they did not significantly impact our stay. Overall, we appreciated the outstanding location and had a great time at Folly Beach.
